Independent healthcare equipment planning

I think about the equipment so your team can think about patients.

Room by room equipment planning for surgery centers, clinics and hospitals, from schematic design through substantial completion. One senior planner on your project, start to finish, with no vendor in the background.

Equipment planning is about the people in the room.

Your nurses, techs, pharmacists and physicians don't wake up every day thinking about medical equipment. I do. My job is making sure every room has what the people working in it actually need, sized, specified and coordinated before the walls close.

That way your team can do what matters most: take care of patients.

Why independent

What "conflict-free" means here. Specifically.

A lot of planners say it. Here is exactly what it means at Veriquip.

No vendor money

No commissions, rebates, referral fees or incentives from manufacturers or dealers. None.

Nothing to sell

I don't sell, broker or resell equipment. My recommendations aren't tied to what I can move.

One paycheck

My only financial relationship on a project is with the client who hires me. Every call I make answers to that.

Who I work with

Architects

A planner who reads your drawings. Equipment lists that reconcile to your room numbers, utility coordination your engineers can build from, and fast turnaround on RFIs and submittals. I fit into your team and your schedule.

Owner's representatives

An advocate on the owner's side of the table. Honest budgets from early ROM to final list, clear responsibility matrices, and someone who will tell you when a line item doesn't belong.

Services

Planning at every phase of design and construction

Bring me in at schematic design or partway through construction. Every project is scoped and priced on its own specifics.

STARTUP

Project Startup and Discovery

Kickoff coordination, document review, stakeholder alignment and team introductions.

CA

Construction Administration

Not in standard scope: IT and telecom, low voltage, furniture, dietary and kitchen, casework and surgical instrumentation. Procurement support is available as an added service.

Experience

Planning healthcare equipment since 2013, from rural hospitals to military medicine.

My first project was a full replacement pediatric specialty hospital, where I was the sole equipment planner. Since then I've planned nearly every major facility type, in multiple states, for owners ranging from independent physician groups to the U.S. military.

I've led equipment planning divisions and managed teams of 13. Today I work directly with architects and owners, backed by proprietary planning tools built in house.

About

Small on purpose.

Veriquip is me, Troy Hinojosa. When you hire Veriquip, the senior planner you met is the one doing the work. No handoff to a junior team after the contract is signed.

The Navy taught me the importance of attention to detail. The small things that nobody checks are the ones that can matter most. I've carried that same mentality and approach into healthcare, where a missed clearance or a wrong footprint can mean real delays to seeing patients.

I'm based in College Station, Texas, and I go wherever the work is.
